Should I exercise if I have osteoporosis?
Answered By Editor
Yes. Exercising stimulates the bone
remodeling cycle. This means that exercising
will stimulate bone growth and enhance bone
density. However, if you have a severe case
of osteoporosis, it is recommended that you
first consult your doctor in order to
determine what exercise program is right for
you and what exercise program will prevent
exercise-related injuries, especially in
people with osteoporosis.
