What are some helpful ways to treat osteopenia (or osteoporosis) without using prescription drugs?

Can you answer Toria K’s question about Osteoporosis?:

I’m working for a lady who has osteopenia (a form of osteoporosis) and she wants to try some alternative methods of treatment. She’s also trying to find some sort of vitamin or supplement that would have calcium, vitamin D, Boron, Mangesium, and/or other components that help protect bone mass. If you know of any or can give any tips, please let me know!

Osteoporosis Feedback: Not sure if she would be able to lift any weights, but that helps build and retain bone density. Best thing you can do for your bones.

Osteoporosis Feedback: those are all good but D3 is better than D.
I take hylaronic acid too. Walmart sells it in the vitamin aisle.
Omega fatty acid is also good.
antioxidents, ginkgo, C, E, zinc and selenium are also good.

How about Acid/Alkaline balance? It’s alternative and the theory basically revolves around the body’s need to maintain a neutral ph. If you eat too many acid forming foods, the body will release minerals from bones to neutralize the acids. Eat more alkaline foods (mainly fruits and veggies) and this won’t happen. Here’s what I’m talking about — from Better Bones dot com - The importance of pH balance in healthy bones

Osteoporosis Feedback: Have you seen this liquid vitamin-mineral called 10-in-One?

I work for a company that has a product that actually is a Bio-Replenishment product. It actually helps the Calcium get to the bone. You take it with the high quality Calcium supplement. A study was just published in Osteoporosis International proving replenishment of the bone using an additional supplement that helps with gut health. Please contact me if you are interested.
